1. About Availy

Availy is an online booking platform that allows businesses and professionals to offer appointment scheduling to their customers.

This Privacy Policy explains how Availy collects, uses, stores, and processes personal information when businesses, professionals, and customers use the platform.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Availy, we may process the following information:

  • Name and email address.
  • Phone number when voluntarily provided during a booking.
  • Appointment information, including selected service, professional, date, and time.
  • Business and professional account information.
  • Google account information required to authenticate management users.
  • Google Calendar information required to determine availability and create appointment events.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information only when necessary to provide and operate Availy, including to:

  • Create and manage appointment reservations.
  • Determine when professionals are available for booking.
  • Create confirmed appointment events in connected calendars.
  • Send booking confirmation and notification emails.
  • Authenticate authorized business users.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the platform.

4. Google user data

Availy allows authorized professionals to connect a Google account to use Google Calendar functionality.

Availy accesses Google Calendar data only for the purposes necessary to provide booking functionality. This includes retrieving calendar availability and creating appointment events in the calendar selected by the professional.

Availy does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

Google authentication used to sign in to Availy management areas is separate from authorization to access Google Calendar.

5. Google Calendar authorization

When a professional connects Google Calendar, Availy may receive authorization credentials that allow the platform to access the calendars approved through Google's OAuth process.

Availy stores the authorization information required to maintain the calendar connection. Sensitive authorization credentials are protected and are not made available to customers or other unauthorized users.

Calendar information is used to check busy periods and to create appointment events. Availy does not copy complete calendar event contents unless required to provide the requested booking functionality.

6. Sharing of information

Availy may share or process information through service providers when necessary to operate the platform.

These providers currently include:

  • Google, for authentication and Google Calendar integration.
  • Resend, for transactional booking emails.
  • Infrastructure and database providers used to host and operate Availy.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Data storage and security

Availy applies reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

Sensitive Google authorization credentials are stored in protected form and are not exposed through the public application.

8. Data retention

Personal information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain booking records, comply with applicable obligations, and resolve technical or operational issues.

Calendar authorization information may be retained while a calendar connection remains active or until access is revoked or the connection is removed.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain processing.

Google users can also manage or revoke access previously granted to Availy through their Google Account security settings.

10. Third-party services

Availy relies on third-party services to provide some functionality. Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
